Classic Quilts & Quilting L.L.C. (also known as CQ or CQQ) came alive on the 4th of June, 2005 in Dubai. The idea of having a quilt shop in the Middle East came from its founder, owner and director, Mala Ramakrishnan, a long arm quilter living in Dubai, UAE. The Quilt shop was established with an objective of making and selling Quilts, providing Quilting services, providing education through workshops for beginners in quilting and selling notions and fabrics for quilters residing in the Middle East.
11 years down the road, Classic Quilts is all of the above and so much more. We are the official distributors of BERNINA sewing machines in UAE, Kuwait and Oman. We also are the official distributors for HandiQuilter in the Middle East, Superior Threads, Robert Kaufman Fabrics, Windham Fabrics, Micheal Miller Fabrics and Kaffe Fasset Fabrics.
We offer quilting services to finish quilts made by patchwork quilters in and around the GCC. We also work with individuals, small businesses and larger corporations to accomplish embroidery jobs. We are perhaps the only store in the UAE that services machines in store, right now only for BERNINA sewing machines and HandiQuilter machines.
